How much soil is there in a hole measuring one metre by one metre by one metre?
-The whole is empty so therefore you have a cubic yard of zilch. -
Would a steel ball travel faster through water at 25c or -5c?
-The same Density does not matter, as some textbooks state. -
There are 5 apples in a basket and five people in a room. How can you give an apple to each person in the room and yet leave one apple in the basket.
-Ask someone to leave, then give out the apples. -
A fishing boat is lying in the harbour. There is a rope ladder hanging over the side with its end touching the water. The rungs of the ladder are 1 metre apart and the tide is rising at 50 centimetres an hour.
At the end of 6 hours, how many of the rungs will be covered
-The boat will rise with the tide, so there is no difference in the relationship of the ladder to the water level.- A man dressed all in black is walking down a country lane. Suddenly a large black car without any lights on comes round the corner and screeches to a halt.
How did the driver know there was a man in the road?
-twas daytime m8 [=[/COLOR]Answers in RED

All the same except number 4
- the boat would rise with the water, so the amount would stay the same

not being picky sdr but in question 2, what does c resemble? does it resemble (row) the density i thought it was celcius in which case it would be 25 cause water would be frozen at -5. And if its reffering to density would slow it down surely, if its more dense then it would mean more friction and hence slowing the bullet down, and therefore it would be -5? just food for thought
