A friend told me about this blackmarket in asia that deals with electronics,says he saw the ps3 for sale there atleast a year or two before it was even released,basicly it was just a custom made ps2 in a modded ps3 case and they was charging like $700.

The ps3 slim was confirmed today, out in the first week of September 09.

Sony just announced at the Gamescom 2009 that the new Sony PS3 Slim will be shipping already in the first week of September.
Same features and functionality. 120 GB HDD. 34 % less power consumption. 34 percent lighter. Wow, nice.

The PS3 Slim will sell for $299 in the United States and 299 Euros in Europe. All PS3 consoles have dropped in price.
