I'm gonna buy a slim 250gb tommorow,then see if sony can give me a new ps3.

I called sony they and lied about my date of purchase,they were cool and said theyd send me a replacement but i assumed i had 18 month warranty and said i got it in november 08.

They said because its only a month out of warranty they'll do it but i need a receipt.

so what do sinfulshadows?

do i call again and lie or will they have my shit on file?
or
Do i call using a friends serial number and hand over my ps3 when they swap?

Hmm, this is a hard one, because they have come pretty harsh about this shit recently, something tells me they will be checking serials and shit, and they will probs have shit on file so..

i got that problem too mate it turns on then goes yellowy greeny colour then beebs and then flashes and they said to me 120 pound to fix and they give me refurbished so my mum sed to my dad give me your ps3 and he sod ok lool so im getting me dads ps3 when he next comes up

They do, i got my ps3 exchanged they had all these detais like, credit cards and serial numbers, i was omg.

speaking of busted ps3s' and games… My Ps3 took the last sip of "air" "LOL" this summer when GH-Metallica came out.

Inserted the game, started playin', the game just kept on loading and loading and loading for about 10min and then just pooof... Green/Yellow/Red fuckin' lights came on and a beep.. Done..Finito..Bye-Bye...

called up sony and called the store I bought from, brought my receipt and my ps3 was sent away for "evaluation" and "restorations"... took 'em 5 weeks to identify the problem, and another 3 weeks to send me a brand new one... So I feel ya' Chase.

It's really funny actually, if you want to destroy a ps3, just go out and buy a lame fucking game and poooff... dead hahahahaha who could've thought; A game who's bustin' up PS3's.. Hmm..
