Looks great Nate. I think you should experiment with the scan lines like you were talking about.

Scanlines could improve it allot idd.. Try with the layer positioning the render (image) and the scanlines just below it.. Ofc, make sure the scanlines are not 100% oppacity..

Just a small hint.. Fully select the render, and use a Feather on it.. It would make the render blend in there a bit more..
And imo.. Just imo.. The border seems a lil bit too thick.. 3px?

Look at the sigs carefully, Version 1 then 2, you can see lines on number 2, they are often called scan lines.

@wiki:

A scan line is one line, or row, in a raster scanning pattern, such as a video line on a cathode ray tube (CRT) display of a television or computer.

It gives the effect of being on a screen imo, its a nice effect, gives the sig more depth and detail.

I think though you should research Brushing before you move onto things like scanlines ^_^

Thanks, my aim isnt to improve at this though, I know all I need to know about sig making, I mean I dont know everything, but I am happy with the amount of knowledge I know, its enough, now all I will do is make a sig now and again, and try help you guys get to my level and beyond [=
