Ok, i was playing resistance 2, and it froze, i turned it off from the power switch. I turn it back on, no XMB screen just the background, i cant turn it off with the PS button so i turn it off from the switch, and it starts up but then black screen shows up and nothing else happens.

I try to get to the reboot menu thing but when i hold the button nothing happens

Never turn it off from the power switch. It will turn off from the touch button if you keep hold of it long enough, about 10 secs, this is better as the hard drive turns off first then the rest.

You have either crashed your hard drive or RAM. Also the HDMI connection may have broke.

Try changing the hard drive and using AVI connection.

If they don't work ring Sony.

          Pffft.

You're PS3 has the same symptoms as mine did last summer. In the end I got a new one directly from Japan, 'cuz they couldn't repair it.

_I poke her face off and now she faceless.

I poke her so much I deserve a bracelet._
