Anyone played it yet? It's ridiculously addictive.
You can buy it for 10 pounds (~$13 USD) at www.minecraft.net. You can also get it from other sources if you want to try it out before you buy it. I'd recommend just getting it as it's really cheap and it is really fun.
If a lot of you guys end up getting it and like it I'll set us up a multiplayer server to play on. That would be a lot of fun.
EDIT: My multiplayer server is UP. It is awesome and if you want the IP then hit me up on Windows Live Messenger.

It's really fun. Once you start getting into it you'll want to build more and more shit and be creative. (At least I do. I have lava walls lol.) (And a 12 story wooden warehouse.) (And a glass fortress.)

its quite fun. i usually only play it when im pretty bored and have nothing to do or if the internet is out. its kinda like gmod, but its more of surviving then building things. The world is randomly generated and infinite, so the exploration is endless. Its quite a fun game. i tried to fraps a tour of my place i built on minecraft, but it totally didnt work. lol. anyways, i really recommend it. It doesnt really cost much for the real version. If you keep up with the updates and forum chat, you'll see that Notch(the developer/creater) is coming out with a huge update to the game, adding all kinds of things, along with some Halloween style items/environments. Its good for passing time. I have no doubt that this could be put on any computer, whether it be windows 98 or windows 7. I don't play the multiplayer too often. i really have no reason to not play the multiplayer tho. If you guys ever want to get together and play on a server together, let me know. I have a server setup with ports forwarded and what not.

I have a server too, with the infdev mods and all. I can set it back up if you want to play. You can spawn pretty much whatever tools and blocks that you want with commands.
EDIT: Finally got MCAdmin to work so now I have a fully running server mod with teleports and unlimited blocks. If you get the game let me know and I'll give you the IP.

OMG you beat me to it. I was going ot make a "minecraft" thread, anyway ive had the game for a week now…and yes its addictive. Especially for someone like me whom designs for a living...so much things you can do. The game's very reminiscent of the old Nintendo days
I play on imo the best or one if the best survival multiplayer mode servers of minecraft ...the place is full of incredible stuff we have over 10 cities and expanding.... nice people and just generally chilaxed.
i think the game is amazing though, they will soon implement pvp and pve and alot of more updates are planned. PLUS halloween update coming soon :P.
anyhoo to cut my crappy story short...its a awesome game..i personally adore it.
btw if you have a server chuck us the ip..il build you something amazing
