Move to Newcastle -.-
Nottingham is my home.

I would probably rent somewhere in Newcastle or say at a Hotel. It's 5 days, not weekends, so I could come home.
Do this burn down your house get the ensurance money and move to newcastle problem solved.
Or you just can drive there
BTW: You have to burn your house down so it doesnt look suspicious (?) when you just move, because then you have 2 reason to move 1. Jobb offer & 2. You are wanted by the Russian MafiaInsurance scam? What do you take me for?

Ok, you gotta get out of the Nottingham at least one time in your life, so why not now?

for 13k I don't think its worth it, you could get a similar job in the midlands area imo.

I have applied for local ones too at the same company, but only heard from this one so far. I going to go for it and see what happens, I can always say no if I get offered the job.

Put aside commuting for one moment, If you're really willing to migrate to elsewhere why not look for jobs in London..better job opportunities and probably better pay.

I have applied throughout the UK, just happens the only one so far to hear from is in Newcastle.

Photography is a very competitive industry - get on the experience ladder asap wherever it takes you. Newcastle's a nice place (and ironically full of southern students) but even if it was a shit-hole, if you stuck it out for 6 months you'd have something on your CV that most others don't.
Whatever you do, keep plugging away at your portfolio. Get a personal site (not your loganberry one) write blogs, tutorials etc and try to make a name for Scott Rudge however you can. Learn photoshop well, learn how to do HDR stuff, earn some cash and buy a camera that will make David Bailey cream his duds.
I'm studio manager at the web company I work for and there's been loads of people that need decent product shots for their e-commerce sites - you could probably approach design houses like us and offer your services as a freelance travelling product/premises photographer (light tent and a few lamps and you're sorted) and get some experience and cash.
I'll give you a shout if anything comes up here but do ask around.
Good luck!

As for the website thing, if you ever have anything involving human models, then I may be up for it. Child modelling is what I have experience in.

Admit it you have an urge to do stuff with children SDR!!!

Qualified professional photographers would not be able to be "pedos", they are always watched and never left alone with children. If a paedophile was looking for a job involving children, they would look for a job where they are left alone with the child, like nursery worker, teacher, carer, doctor, sports coach, etc. these jobs and any job involving children, you would be given a CRB check and would not be able to work if you fail it.
I am shore there are "pedo" photographers, but I just think if you wanted to be sick and find a job working with children so you can rape them, you would not be a photographer.
I know you all take the piss out of me because I seem to "love" children, but the fact is who doesn't? Children are great and if you don't think this wait untill you have your own children or a relative has them, your tone will soon change. If it doesn't then I can not see why you are on this planet. Born, grow up, marry, have children, dieβ¦. LIFE
