Linux for ps3

Does anyone use it, should i get it, how do i get it

I installed Yellow Dog Linux on my first PS3 and it was ok for watching Div-x stuff but a bit too slow to replace a real PC (and PS3 only has 512mb memory for it which is crap). Easy enough to set-up and configure, I'm pretty experienced with that kinda stuff though.
Now PS3 plays div-x I don't need linux as I can do everthing else on my PC, laptop or iphone.
If you don't have another PC or just want to do a bit more than play games such as the odd word doc or check emails etc. it's an option, but otherwise I would save the partition space for something useful…
....such as pornography.

It wont be for a while,I need to research it more.

Nope, your PS3 is meant to have linux installed, it would not have the option to do so otherwise.
This only think that voids the warrenty is opeining it up and pulling off stickers.
The advanced versipon of linux I am talking about is coded slightly different and is built round the PS3's hardware its able to get more juice out of it then the Standard Linux versions, I have the disc if anyone is intrested.

Thats what i was thinking yeah, but my dad has already started his stockpiling again and i think if i have to delete it again for reasons he doesnt understand hell go mental.
