I need to see if it voids my warranty,as my ps3 is already coughing and sputtering blood.

Nope, your PS3 is meant to have linux installed, it would not have the option to do so otherwise.
This only think that voids the warrenty is opeining it up and pulling off stickers.
The advanced versipon of linux I am talking about is coded slightly different and is built round the PS3's hardware its able to get more juice out of it then the Standard Linux versions, I have the disc if anyone is intrested.

Its meant to be put on there which is nice, my hacking project for nowis the Wii, its all popping off on saturday ^_^

Thats what i was thinking yeah, but my dad has already started his stockpiling again and i think if i have to delete it again for reasons he doesnt understand hell go mental.
