Agreed. Just go pick up a used or refurb one. You can get a new Arcade for $200, but it won't have a hard drive or HD cables, so you'll have to use the ones you have. You can also probably get rid of the RRoD box for $20-$30.

When mine got banned I got a refurbished pro from GameStop (without HDD, with wireless controller) for $150.

Xbox 360-2006 model...Died..with the dreaded RROD...albeit attempts at repairs
the damage was too much one of the mem chips had eroded..(although rest were perfectly fine...strange)

...the drive was dying anyway..

it lasted me for 4 wonderful years........

I have found myself a brand new 360 elite/hdmi Jasper model with the av cable and powersupply for around £100 ….

many of you are probably pondering "dumbass bastard why didnt u wait and save up for a ps3...."

good question why didnt i do that!.......well you see i allready have like 2 billion 360 games including the late FF as well as a collection of antiquated accessories...so it was plain and simple i buy another 360... Hopefully this new model lasts me indefinately...

besides PS3 meh...i can "borrow" my cousins he lives like 1 minute away...

i have a theory to why it died to be honest.

Just a long shot but maybe its because you just bought the shittest game ever!!
Seriously FF series is dump there was one good one that was Mystic Quest on the Snes then they went shite. So my advice get the disc and the case smash it up, burn it or whatever and you never know your 360 might start working again!
