Right, well first off id like to re introduce myself as one of the biggest atheist arse holes you will ever meet, people who are religious around me will often get a sly remark or a hint that I think what ever they are saying or believe in is total bullshit. I often compare stories from the bible to Disney stories or that of a fairy tail, I stopped believing in god about the same time as Santa and the tooth fairy, perhaps even before then… What I am trying to say is that I feel your anger TP.
The fantasy world which resembled V for vendetta had me thinking of stories where I would play the protagonist venturing through a black and white world freeing other atheists from the vice grip of Christianity in a sort of biblically ironic way.
Yes. Somehow they've managed to make being blasphemous illegal! If you say something nasty about an entity of whose existance we have no proof, you could be fined up to 25000 Euros!
Ignorance is no excuse for oppression, I can understand other peoples views and I could understand why they have these beliefs but I would not once tell them they are not allowed to believe in a god, It seems like nullifying freedom of speech in Ireland they are forcing beliefs and words, we are in the 21st fucking century not the 10th.
I find that religion is an excuse, we fear things that we do not understand and what better way to represent this fear but a big man who will deal with us personally for all eternity. We are beginning to understand more, about life and this universe and each piece is taking away from the fairytale nonsense that religion has tried to drill into our head, time after time its proved wrong and they pretend that they were "metaphorically speaking".. piss off.
Religion is a way of control and its worked pretty well for a few thousand years, I believe that our boundaries are being pushed, less people are believing now we have found more answers and people are getting panicky."oh know people are allowed to voice what they really thinking about bed time stori… the bible, what ever will we do?" I have seen some of the brainwashing bullshit that's in the bible and it sickens me to see people believe and follow this blindly, its even funnier to see them use the medium of the internet to spout there jargon as the internet has no limits and something as serious as Christianity on the internet is just a giant target, all there sites have big filters on there comments sections because they don't have enough moderation to stop all the attacks they will get everyday.
My biggest issue is the Christian nation, that country which teaches it in its schools and attacks other countries because of their beliefs.

I think you've got it in one there and with just about everything else you said too. It's all about controlling the ignorant and the afraid. The church is a powerful, greedy and controlling bully - twisting and misinterpreting the rules to suit their own needs, not having to answer their own hypocrisy and crimes and pinning any failings on a big red guy with horns and a trident.
One thing that's always annoyed me is why the fuck Jesus abusing his powers by turning water into wine is praised - I mean it's hardly a high-prority on your to-do list when you could be out healing cripples or feeding the starving.

Hmmm… I don't think you can describe anything as 'proof' as there are too many margins for error.
For example:
- people have used hallucinogenic drugs for thousands of years.
- any records made are the writers interpretation of the truth, which may not be accurate.
- any translations of ancient records may be misinterpreted or taken out of context. Take "The devil is wicked." vs "Max Payne is wicked!" for example.
- 'evidence' is easily tampered with.
- evidence that goes against the point you want to make is easily ignored or left out of an argument. "PS3 is way better than 360 - it has bluray!" (but it's online interface sucks dogs cocks.)
If you want to believe in anything, you can! Simply ignore all the facts, pick the ones that support your story and ignore the rest. Everyone does that with everything - how many tracks by an artist you love would you actually HATE if they were by someone else? How many people would have liked 'Jackie Brown' if it wasn't done by Tarrantino. How shit would KZ2 be if it was a 360 exclusive etc.
As for my opinion on the whole UFO thing… well I'm more open to that than God. I too think it's pretty selfish/ignorant to think we're the only ones to have existed...
However, the universe is massive and time is infinite. What are the actual chances of two civilisations existing at the same time, withing travelling distance, and for them to meet? Seriously, we've existed a mere nano second in the Earth's existance, which in turn has existed a mere nano second in the history of the universe. They'd have to keep checking on every planet for billions of years to stumble upon us.
"But what if they BROUGHT us here." Yeah... that might be it. They had all that technology and left a load of bacteria/retarded humans to see how they'd get on. Level 100 wons a pyramid and some stone heads on an island.
...still it is, at least from a pysics point of view, a lot more plausible that some supreme being.
