60GB fucked, ask Sony for a Slim?

My 60GB's been playing up and was thinking of asking for a slim, do you think this is wise?

I think the 60GB is worth more, but this would be my 7th replacement though Blu-Ray errors, fan problems, YLOD and now a firmware problem, so I thought f**k the 60GB get a Slim.

I say go for it, if ur 60gb has broken so many times u cant lose, you get the newer version and all those better qualties

Well lets evaluate the situation. it keeps braking so first things first.

Were do you store your ps3, the chance of a ps3 braking increases if its in a small space due to heat or if the ps3 is standing as it can damage the disc.

Second, do you move your ps3 around alot, that may cause your ps3 to brake but its not likly ( i know one person who's ps3 broke because of that)

And finally how do you treat your ps3, when playing games do you get pissed off easily and throw your contollers at the ps3 r like my m8 out the window and almost hitting his dad?

Obviously not as its fucked.

But the load times are different for different games and not by much. Movies load quick too.

I really don't know what to do but I'm 70% towards asking for a Slim, for the warranty and the heat reduction as my room and the fan on PS3 gets fucking hot and loud.

Nope.

I always look after my things, the PS3 is the only thing I own that has ever been replaced. I always clean it and shut it down the correct way. It can't be anything I'm doing.

I dont reckon you'll be a millionaire,you'll have to save it for more than your lifetime for it to be worth loads and the fact that its broke will lower the value.

RIGHT, so, I'm thinking of asking for a Slim but I also want a £50 PSN voucher or 2 games or something. As I think a straight swap is not worth it, £249.99 Vs £424.99 ??
