I have done some research on this card… It seems like my Gigabyte motherboard doesnt have a PCIe 2.0 slot According to the specs on their site I only have the standard PCIe x16 slot Does that mean that I won't get the full potential of the card or what ? :S

if it doesn't have a slot then you wont be able to use most of the newer cards i recommend returning your motherboard for something better.

It has the regular PCIe slot… But not the newer one... I have the 1.1 PCIe slot...
and I know that most newer card are PCIe.... I'm not that stupid

It just means it won't run as fast as on a PCIe 2.0 slot. All PCIe components are backwards compatible.

I would get your card, then when you get more money upgrade your mobo/RAM/processor/etc. (I was going to do this but just decided to drop all the money and upgrade everything. My i7 eats through HD video rendering.)

I'm also getting Zalman CNPS-7000C-CU LED cpu cooler and a regular 120mm fan

The HD 5770 isnt that expensive and it is powerful
Recently I played GRID on my HD 4650 and E6750 on Ultra @ 1440x900… It went allright but my fps dipped below 20 sometime So with the 5770 i would get about 60fps constantly i guess

Yea.. but right now im currently using Windows XP… old as fuck to me. But im only 15 and my parents dont really give a fuck about upgrading it.. so im just gonna wait till it dies. Then get Vista

throw it in the water, then set it back on place, and say that the computer don't work.

There is a faster way to destroy a pc… Give it some more power and it fries everything ^^
or You just delete your BIOS

EDIT: Vista is old as fuck and instable... USE WINDOWS 7 FFS

Download Windows 7… Vista will get you more trouble then XP did... Instable and slow as fuck
