Well.. got the ylod this morning. I was playing mlb 10 the show this morning.. the out of the blue it shuts off then i get red flashing light.. but i had the ps3 on for like 30 min.. the i turn back on manually.. tried to play a downloaded game.. the game didnt start just black screen.. turned back off manually.. then i tried to reset setting by holding power off button while in standby mode then i end up not resetting and i end up turning the ps3 off.. then i try to turn on manually again the i got the YLOD. Oh i had a great morning.

Unlucky… My ps3 is still dead from YLOD but getting it fixed this week - hopefully it'll stay alive long enough for me to back up my data.
Back up your data often, kids! You can't transfer the files between ps3's or pc.

I got a question.. if you pay to get fixed and they cant figure out the probmlem or its unfixable.. will they give you a new one? Just curious.

£130 and they Exchange it on the door, no need to worry about them fixing yours.
3 day turn around, but a 6 week wait to get your game back ^_^

Except it would be free if it was under warranty, its not a 'NEW' you get but a refurbished one with a new case on it (as good as new) for £130 here in the UK.

Yea.. sony is going to send us a box.. my dad pays then we ship next week and wait. Its figured out.. But i have the ps3 hardrive and my 320gb hardrive and the guy wants both.. just curious because the damn thing was more than a game.
