Could be anything and nothing… depending what you've been doing.

Have you had a sudden jolt, fallen funny or done some exercise or physical work (eg chopping wood, frisbee) or anything like that? Lots of time with a mouse, sat incorrectly in a chair? etc? etc?

Same advice as ever - go see a doctor. In the meantime take some ibuprofen to help ease the pain and reduce inflammation and try not to use your neck/arm excessively until it feels better (no moshing or arm wrestling) but keep them both moving or they'll seize up.

Get a decent pillow too like this one: Click Here…

I've got a problem with my right shoulder after a car accident last year - and it's annoying as hell. It's always worse on a morning and in cold weather.

your probably overextending your back or neck doing something, i had sharp pains when i used to play basketball and i needed to look a certain direction really fast, but i haven't had that problem in years.

could have slept on it oddly. i've done that sometimes, but it didnt hurt to the point where i couldn't turn my head or lift books. it might hurt to turn my head, but i would do it anyway to "stretch" it. If it continues for another day though, I would go see a doctor. if it doesn't continue for more then a day, then stop being a pussy.

I think it's better to go to a doctor instead of asking for help through a gaming community-forum 😉
Even though it might will help you out ^^
