Hahaha. Well let's face it, it'll be better on the PS3 because it's getting full 1080p FMV's and full surround sound because of the blu-ray's space.
Unfortunately, video & audio is being compressed on the 360 and will only be upscaled because of the space on DVD's. Still no word on how many disks will be needed for the 360 version as well. Many think 3+
(Just facts is all, I still enjoy a bit of Forza 3 and Gears)

A company in the US has invented a way to compress video at such a speed that games in the future will not need to be run on your own hardware but on servers instead and streamed to you via a web browser.
This company is called OnLive… However for us Europeans, OnLive won't be available for a number of years....

Enter Gaikai. Gaikai is a european based company that has done the same thing.

Well, it's taken a longer time than people had expected…
But finally people who are out of the loop, or have been living in the microsoft bubble are waking up to realise the quality of games on the PS3.
Of course, to Sony fans, we knew the quality was there since Metal Gear Solid 4, a game which the 360 still has yet to top in terms of graphics.
But now with games like Uncharted 2, and recently Killzone 2 the power of the system is becoming apparent to these people. And with the price drop, people are starting to move across to the better system (in terms of power)
However, I won't talk shit about the 360 though... because without Microsoft trying to buy their way into the gaming world (which they have been successful) I don't think we would be seeing nearly the amount of quality games on each system.
And I don't care who you are, games like Gears of War and even Forza 3 on the 360 are definitely not bad games.

As for it working on the PS3 I just tested it… you get to the log in screen but as soon as you've entered your details and click the log in button....

Major crash lol. So bad that even holding down the power button for 2 seconds doesn't work, (you just get the 3 sharp beeps and nothing happens)
I had to switch it off at the back twice.
I'm guessing the PS3 browser needs updating :S

Hey guys, I dunno how many people keep up with new technology and stuff, but there is a new thing called google wave which will basically make programs like MSN, emails and maybe even small forums and stuff obsolete.

However, at the moment google wave is still in a preview stage and is not open to the public. You have to be invited to join the service at the moment and it's not due for release until late next year.

Well guess what? I was invited by a guy in Australia who works for google & have 2 invitations left from the 8 you are given.
Now what I'm thinking is, I give these 2 to SDR and Loversama and then they will have 8 each to give out too.
Then they can give out the 16 to different members of the clan or friends etc who want to join. Then those 16 will have 8 each etc and we could get everyone here on google wave.
Then all we need to do is add each other in our contacts and we're good to go.

This is a pretty cool site for adding things like Twitter, wikipedia etc to your waves.

Have you guys heard of OnLive?
It is a service where all you need is a web browser to play the most advanced games on the market.
What happens is games are stored on servers/super computers and are streamed to your PC/Mac/Web browser at 1 millisecond.
Basically you are gaming on the cloud!

All you need to do is download a 1MB plug in and you can play the latest games on the most basic hardware.
As long as you have an internet connection of greater than 1.5Mbps then it should work fine.
It hits America in a few weeks time.
Check out their site, if it works, you will no longer need to keep buying new GPU's to play the best games on the market and you will no longer need to keep buying new consoles every 8-10 years.
It has been a secret project for 7 years!

One thing that annoyed me after getting 3.10 is that my BBC iPlayer shortcut is missing from the XMB now. It was there before

As for facebook, yeah I'm getting that error too. hopefully it'll be fixed soon.

Late last night, Firmware 3.10 went live for the PlayStation 3 and brought a new way to order photos off the XrossMediaBar as well as three Facebook options you might've missed because they're tucked away under Account Management. Earlier this week, Xbox Live launched Facebook on the Xbox 360.

Over there, you're getting the real Facebook; you can post, comment, look at photos, and so on. Here on the PS3, you're getting none of that. What you can do here is post purchase information, game events, and Trophy information to your Facebook profile.

This is true… However, you have always been able to access the "Real" facebook by using the handy little web browser that Sony kindly installed on the PS3 since day 1 of it's release

I thought I'd make a quick post for the American members who think they are free from this.

An Anti-counterfeiting Trade Agreement (ACTA) being negotiated (now in its 6th round) almost entirely in secret contains a proposal that would make internet service providers cut off the internet of users that have illegally shared copyrighted material at least three times. Copyright holders need not provide "proof" of copyright infringement, they merely need to just simply make a "claim", leaving the burden of proof dumped onto the internet user. This of course leads to isp's being forced to monitor their internet users constantly.
